Beverly Hills, MI – The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to close Commerce Road between Hiller and Orchard Lake roads in the communities of the Village of Orchard Lake and West Bloomfield Township to close to through traffic on May 12 to replace a culvert under the road.
The culvert replacement on Commerce Road is between the Dow Ridge Road subdivision entrances. The detour for through traffic will be Orchard Lake Road to Cass Lake Road to Cass Elizabeth Road to Cooley Lake Road to Hiller Road, back to Commerce Road and vice versa.
The culvert replacement is expected to be completed by the end of the day on May 12. In case of inclement weather, an alternate date of May 13 has been set for the culvert replacement.
Commerce Road carries approximately 12,000 vehicles per day. The work is being done during the weekend to minimize traffic impacts.
