The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will host a public information meeting Wednesday, Dec. 6, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the planned 2018 reconstruction of Tripp Road between Dixie Highway and Van Road in Groveland Township.
The meeting will take place at Groveland Twp. Fire Department, 14645 Dixie Hwy (at Grange Hall Road). The meeting will be open-house format -- there will be no formal presentations. RCOC staff will be present to answer questions and review the project plans throughout the public meeting.
The project is expected to begin in the summer of 2018 and be completed in the fall. It includes the complete reconstruction of this one-mile section of Tripp Road, including the widening of the shoulders, installation of curbs and gutters, construction of storm sewers and the replacement of the culvert which carries the Thread Creek under the road.
The $2.3 million project will be paid for with a combination of federal funds and dollars from RCOC, Groveland Twp. and Oakland County general government (through the Tri-Party Program).
