The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has authorized an Aug. 24 and Aug. 25 closure of Cooley Lake Road between Burns and Duck Lake roads in Highland Township for gas utility work.
The detour for the closure is Duck Lake Road to Commerce Road to Burns Road, back to Cooley Lake Road and vice versa.
The contractor for the project is Welder Construction of Perrysburg, Ohio. The work is being done under a permit issued by RCOC.
Cooley Lake Road carries approximately 3,840 vehicles daily. The road is expected to reopen to traffic during the evening of Aug. 25.
