[ARCHIVED] WALNUT LAKE ROAD TO CLOSE WEST OF ORCHARD LAKE ROAD AUG. 26 IN WEST BLOOMFIELD TWP.

             The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) plans to close Walnut Lake Road west of Orchard Lake Road (west of Green Road) in West Bloomfield Township Saturday morning, Aug. 26, for one day to remove and replace culvert under the road.

            The detour for the closure is Farmington Road to Maple Road to Orchard Lake Road, back to Walnut Lake Road and vice versa.

            The work is weather dependent. If it rains on Aug. 26, the work will be postponed until Sunday, Aug. 27. This section of Walnut Lake Road carries approximately 20,000 vehicles per day.
