[ARCHIVED] CLYDE ROAD FROM EAST OF HICKORY RIDGE TO TIPSICO LAKE IN HIGHLAND TWP. TO CLOSE TO THROUGH TRAFFIC B

Beverly Hills, MI – The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will close Clyde Road from east of Hickory Ridge to west of Tipsico Lake Road in Highland Township to through traffic beginning Monday, April 11, to pave the gravel road.
Residential access will be maintained throughout the project; however, the detour for through traffic for Clyde Road will be Fenton Road to Hibner Road to Middle Road to Milford Road to Clyde Road and vice versa.
Hickory Ridge will also close at Clyde as part of the project at a future date that will be announced.
The $4 million project is funded primarily with federal dollars along with contributions from RCOC, Highland Township and Oakland County general government (through the Tri-Party Program). The project includes:
• Paving approximately 1.5 miles of existing gravel road
• Improved drainage
• Concrete curbs and gutters
• Storm sewer installation
• Center left-turn lanes added at the Clyde/Hickory Ridge intersection
The contractor for the project is Dan’s Excavating of Shelby Township. The road is expected to re-open to traffic in the fall.
