The Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office will close Quarton Road between Lahser Road and Woodward Avenue (M-1) on the Bloomfield Hills and Bloomfield Township border beginning July 17 for water and sewer installation work.
Access to residents and businesses along Quarton Road will be maintained throughout the project.
The detour for the closure is Lahser Road to Long Lake Road to Woodward Avenue (M-1), back to Quarton Road and vice versa.
The work is being done under a permit issued by the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC). The contractor for the project is Ric-Man Construction of Sterling Heights.
The work is expected to conclude on July 28. Quarton Road carries approximately 15,600 vehicles daily.
