[ARCHIVED] COMMITTEE TO MEET AUG. 22 TO DISCUSS OAKLAND COUNTY FEDERAL ROAD FUNDING

The Oakland County Federal Aid Committee, which selects projects to receive federal road funding in the county, will meet on Tuesday, Aug. 22, at 9 a.m. at the Wixom Community Center, 49015 Pontiac Trail, Wixom. 

The Committee has selected road-improvement projects through 2027 that will receive federal funds anticipated to come to Oakland County. The committee is made up of representatives of the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC), all communities in the county, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), SMART (the suburban bus system) and the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG).

            During the meeting, the committee will discuss the status of current and future federally funded road projects throughout Oakland County. 

            Projects selected must be on roads designated as “federal-aid-eligible” and under the jurisdiction of the Road Commission or cities/villages in Oakland County.
