[ARCHIVED] OVERNIGHT PAVING WORK ON MARTIN PARKWAY/MARTIN RD., NORTH OF PONTIAC TRL., STARTS JUNE 19

Traffic Alert Sign

In partnership with Commerce Township, the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to start simple resurfacing work on Martin Parkway/Martin Road, from just north of the Pontiac Trail/M-5 roundabout to Richardson Road, on Monday, June 19.

Milling (grinding off existing pavement) sections of Martin Parkway/Martin Road will be done daily during the project. The road will be open, with lane closures and flaggers directing traffic in the work zone.

Due to other road work in the area and the safety of workers and motorists, and because the paving is more disruptive than the milling, the paving work will be done during the evening hours starting Monday, June 19, from approximately 6 p.m. through 6 a.m. The paving work is weather-dependent. The road will remain open with lane closures and flaggers directing traffic.

Expect long traffic delays at night when the contractor, Cadillac Asphalt, is paving the roundabouts.

The work is expected to be completed by late June.
