The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will begin resurfacing work on Groveland Road, Ortonville Road (M-15) to Barron Road, in Groveland Township starting Aug. 18. The work is expected to be completed by late September.
During the work, the road will remain open to traffic with flaggers directing motorists in the work zone. Motorists should expect some delays.
The project cost is $1.1 million and is paid for through federal road funding and RCOC dollars. It will include paving with asphalt and new pavement markings.
This section of Groveland Road carries approximately 2,100 vehicles daily. The contractor for this project is Ace-Saginaw Paving Company of Flint, MI.
