DUTTON RD TO CLOSE BETWEEN THE NORTH AND SOUTH LEGS OF LIVERNOIS RD WILL CLOSE JULY 26

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC), in partnership with the City of Rochester Hills, expects to close Dutton Road between the north and south legs of Livernois Road starting July 26, until approximately early November to replace the Dutton Road bridge over the Paint Creek.
The detour for through traffic throughout the closure will be Brewster Road to Tienken Road to Rochester Road to Orion Road, back to Dutton Road and vice versa.
The project includes:
• Bridge removal and replacement with a wider bridge to accommodate pedestrians and environmental considerations.
• Extending the pavement of the shoulder on the north side of Dutton Road to connect the existing Paint Creek Trail parking lot to the trail.
• Installation of curbs and gutters
• New guardrail and paved shoulders
Access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout the project, but the road will be completely closed at the bridge. The contractor for the project is Grand River Construction Inc. in Hudsonville, MI.
The project will cost approximately $2.3 million and is being for with federal road dollars as well as funds from RCOC and the City of Rochester Hills.
