Dequindre Road, Hamlin Road to Avon Road (Great Lakes Water Authority)

Project Information:

COMMUNITIES: Rochester Hills  and Shelby Township

PROJECT DETAILS (work to be done under a permit issued by the Road Commission for Oakland County):

  • Installation of 8,000 linear feet of 96-inch water transmission pipe (this includes the next phase of construction on Dequindre Road, 23 Mile Road to the Macomb Orchard Trail; start to be announced in late 2024).
  • Reconstruction of Dequindre Road.
  • Replacement of a culvert pipe with a new concrete box culvert at the Honeywell Ditch.
  • Intersection improvements at Dequindre Road/School Road.

Contractor/Road Closures/Detours:

CONTRACTOR:  Ric-Man Clark Joint Venture on behalf of the Great Lakes Water Authority.

START DATE:  November 6, 2023

END DATE: Late November of  2024 (end date will be announced in late 2024)

ROAD CLOSURE INFORMATION:

  • Dequindre Road, Hamlin Road to Avon Road detour for through traffic is Hamlin Road to John R Road to East Avon Road, back to Dequindre Road and vice versa.
  • Business and residential access maintained.
