Dill Drive-COMPLETE

PUBLIC MEETING:  

In partnership with Waterford Township, the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will host a public information meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 11,  about the planned resurfacing work on  Dill Drive, Walton Blvd., to the Oakland Lake Department of Natural Resources (DNR) public access.  The meeting is from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Grayson Elementary School cafeteria, 3800 West Walton Blvd., in Waterford Township. The meeting will be an open-house format. There will not be a formal presentation. RCOC staff will be present to answer questions throughout the meeting.

PROJECT LIMITS:  Dill Drive from Walton Blvd. to the Oakland Lake Department of Natural Resources (DNR) public access.

FUNDING/PROJECT DETAILS:

The approximate cost for the resurfacing work is $500,000.  The project cost is shared by the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC), Waterford Township and Oakland County general government (through the Tri-Party Program). 

Project includes:

  • Crushing and shaping the existing pavement and using that material as the base for four inches of new asphalt.
  • Drainage improvements along the roadside.

ROAD CLOSURE:  The road will remain open to traffic throughout construction. Expect traffic delays and times when only one lane is temporarily closed with flaggers directing traffic.
