• Project limits:   North of 14 Mile Road/Northwestern Hwy. to just south of Maple Road
• Community:   West Bloomfield Township
• Comments:
  • During construction, one lane will remain open in each direction and a continuous center left-turn lane on Orchard Lake Road (Powers Road access will close at a date to be announced for intersection realignment
  • The approximate $7.2 million is funded by the RCOC and West Bloomfield Township.  The approximate 0.70 mile project includes:
    • Reconstruction of current five-lane configuration to a four-lane concrete boulevard with a grassy median
    • Elimination of east service drive along Orchard Lake Road
    • Eight-foot wide pedestrian paths along both sides of road
    • Realignment of Powers Road intersection
    • Drainage improvements
    • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant pedestrian crosswalks
  • Contractor:   Dan's Excavating
  • Start date:   June 12, 2017
  • End date:     November 28, 2017; open to traffic
