RCOC OFFICIALS

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) is governed by a three-member Board, appointed by the County Board of Commissioners for six-year terms. One member is appointed every two years.

Although the Board is appointed by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners, the Road Commission is seperate from county general government. The Board establishes RCOC policies, administers its own budget and hires the managing director.

It is also responsible for:

  • The maintenance of the county road system
  • Construction of new county roads
  • Improvement of existing county roads
