The $1.8 million project is funded through the Michigan Transportation Economic Development Fund (TEDF) which is a combination of state and federal dollars targeted to projects that are intended to support economic development. In this case, the grant was related to a Magna manufacturing facility. The remainder of the cost will be paid for by RCOC and Lyon Township

Detour: Yes, south half of the South Hill at Grand River Avenue will close to traffic. Eastbound and westbound traffic on Grand River will be maintained. North half of Grand River at South Hill will remain open to traffic.
Detour route: Grand River Avenue to Haas Road to 12 Mile Road, back to South Hill and vice versa
